NAM (Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij) is the most important producer of natural gas in the Netherlands. NAM is part of Shell Upstream International Europe (UIE).
Shell has been finding and producing oil and gas for over a century. Our Upstream International business searches for and recovers oil and natural gas across the world, except the Americas. This spans from exploration activities to the commercial delivery of major upstream projects and to Production. Many of these activities are carried out as joint venture partnerships, often with national oil companies. The business also liquefies gas and is active in gas to liquids technology. Today, we have interests in upstream activities in more than 39 countries and employ around 17,000 people.

The Allocation Engineer will be a key member within the NAM Hydrocarbon Production Information Management (HPIM) process of Upstream International Europe.
You should develop procedures based on new commercial contracts, legislation, fields and partners and the introduction of these procedures in allocation systems
Be familiar with and ensure relevant parts of the F2 & C11/12.13 process are SOX compliant.
You will Audit and verify existing systems, including Non Operating Ventures, on functionality and integrity
Also be the Business Application Custodian for HCA applications in the Upstream international Europe department.
Coordinate tie-in of new wells or new metering stations in the HCA applications
Upgrade/modification of existing metering points/stations in the HCA applications
Coordinate changes to algorithms for product accounting and contract optimization
Responsible for Specification of sampling and analysis
Classify required fiscal metering accuracies
Define the process factors and simulation of production systems
• Engineering qualification or equivalent (Bsc or Msc)
• Good communication skills (in English speech and writing)
• Work through others to achieve results while guiding and providing prioritization
• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• Knowledge of oil & gas production concepts
• Mathematical skills
• Analytical, problem solving skills, specifically around data retrieval and interpretation
• Ability to see through numbers.
• Effective time management, good coordinator and able to independently setting priorities and goals
